Note: This verse is really nice! It happens quite often to myself and I'm sure many others that we tend to overwork ourselves and then become overwhelmed with all the work that must be done! The truths mentioned in this verse show overwhelmed people like me that we can't take on all the world's challenges at once, but instead we should go at a steady rate with only the amonut we can control and feel good doing at once. It also mentions to the lazy man who never wants to do anything that he must go and be productive or he will not receive any blessings from his laziness in the end. So, ifou feel overworked, slow down!! If you are lazy, do more!!

D&C 10:4
Do not run faster or labor more than you have strength and means provided to enable you to translate; but be diligent unto the end.

Note: If Heavenly Father is upset about such a corrupt and stiff generation back in the 1800's then how much more dissapointed is He in the corruption and hypocracy of today? With the same token, there were fantastic saints back in the beginnings of the church. As for their courage and stength then, they have trained and raised such diligent and strong children generations later!! If He could be pleased with the early pioneers, how much more pleased would Gid be in me if I stayed faithful until the end?

D&C 5:8
Oh, this unbelieving and stiffnecked generation—mine anger is kindled against them.

Note: This is an example list of gifts that Heavenly Father gives each person specifically and individually. Notice how He may give one the gift to teach by the Spirit while He may give another the gift to feel the Spirit and share it with others! God knows exactly which gifts and talents will bless each one of His children most and He gives each of us many different gifts of the Spirit and talents to share!!

Moroni 10:9
For behold, to one is given by the Spirit of God, that he may teach the word of wisdom;
It's awesome to see here the connection between the Pearl of Great Price and the New Testement when HeVenly Father says to tell the people "Choose you this day whom ye will serve."

Moses 6:33
Say unto this people: Choose ye this day, to serve the Lord God who made you.
It I so cool to see in this versethat when the Jarodites landed, after praising their God and offering their thanks to Him, they got straight to work tilling the ground!!

Ether 6:13
And it came to pass that they went forth upon the face of the land, and began to till the earth.
This sounds identical to the story of their great great gradfather!! Just one or two chapters ago, he was captivated by a rebellious son

Ether 8:6
And it came to pass that when they had slain the army of Jared they were about to slay him also; and he plead with them that they would not slay him, and he would give up the kingdom unto his father. And it came to pass that they did grant unto him his life.
It's so awesome reading in these last few verses that Moroni, even though seeing bloodshed beyond conprehention and being alone, would give up his life for the plates to be protected freely....

Note: It's so awesome reading in these last few verses that Moroni, even though seeing bloodshed beyond conprehention and being alone, would give up his life for the plates to be protected freely. Than at the end of this verse, he states that if he had the opportunity to make all things known to man, he would. Fast forward to Joseph Smith: who wasthe first follower of Christ to appear to him as an angel? Moroni!!! And what did he do? Teach and teach and teach over and over again about everything!!! Cooincidence? I think not!!

Mormon 8:12
And whoso receiveth this record, and shall not condemn it because of the imperfections which are in it, the same shall know of greater things than these. Behold, I am Moroni; and were it possible, I would make all things known unto you.

Alma 7:23
And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive.

Note: I believe thy when Jesus is praying to Heavenly Father for te people of Nephi, when He says the words "we may be one" I think He is talking about the people of Nephi and Him, not God and Him (since that would suggest involvement in the trinity belief).

3 Nephi 19:23
And now Father, I pray unto thee for them, and also for all those who shall believe on their words, that they may believe in me, that I may be in them as thou, Father, art in me, that we may be one.

Note: Wow!!! This is really powerful what Nephi says in these few verses of scripture. He challenges us to find something wrong in the actions of the destruction in the previous chapter and points out that God fulfils His prophets' prophecies!!! It is amazing to see that someone challenged or even spoke directly to the reader, milleniums after he has passed away.

3 Nephi 10:14
And now, whoso readeth, let him understand; he that hath the scriptures, let him search them, and see and behold if all these deaths and destructions by fire, and by smoke, and by tempests, and by whirlwinds, and by the opening of the earth to receive them, and all these things are not unto the fulfilling of the prophecies of many of the holy prophets.
